Clinical Psychology

Clinical Research and Training Facilities

The department has excellent laboratory and training facilities, including extra-departmental opportunities for supplementing clinical training. In addition, students may move freely through the University. Over the years, students have had research or clinical assignments in the Departments of Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and the College of Education. Thus, interested students have access to a wide variety of clinical populations for their research and training.

The department is housed in Meliora Hall, which was completed and dedicated in 1974 and provides a well-equipped, modern, and spacious setting for teaching and research. Faculty members have state-of-the-art research facilities and computer equipment. Meliora Hall houses several word-processing stations, microcomputers, and terminals providing access to e-mail and the University's main-frame computer. Meliora Hall is adjacent to the University's main library and conveniently close to computer facilities and other support services.

The Department's Mt. Hope Family Center, directed by a full-time clinical faculty member (Dr. Sheree Toth), is located close to campus.
