Movie Nights
Psych council continues hold monthly movie nights. Individual movies, times, and places will be announced as they are decided. Come watch Vertigo, As Good As it Gets, Memento, and many more!
Grad School Workshops
The council will be providing guest lecturers, including faculty, graduate students, and recently accepted undergraduates to give valuable insight into the application process. Some of the specifics include: GRE scores, recommendations, and resume building. This is ideal for those looking at further education in the psychology field.
Post-Graduate Opportunities Series
The Council will be providing a series of events throughout the semester relating to opportunities for psychology students after graduation. Some events will include presentations from the Warner School Counseling Program, the RIT School Psychology Program, and information about Clinical, Developmental and Social doctorate programs (presented by CSP faculty).
T-Shirt Fundraiser
We are holding our annual fundraiser during the spring, 2011 semester. We will be selling t-shirts with a fun, psych-related logo. Some of the proceeds from this sale will benefit a local charity. Further details will be forthcoming.
Faculty/Council Luncheon
The Council will be holding the luncheon in the Meliora 366. It will be taking place on the last day of classes, December 13, 2010.
Life After College
Do you want to know what life is like after college with your psychology diploma? Come and listen to seniors in psychology major and learn what they are doing after graduation. Coming soon this spring.
UR Research Summer Internship Fair
The council will be sponsoring a Summer Research Opportunity Fair that will provide valuable information regarding research opportunities during this upcoming summer. This event will be held in spring.
