The Incredible Years Parenting Group

Parenting is difficult, even in the best circumstances.  Lack of education, poverty and community violence experienced by many low-income families dramatically increase children’s behavior difficulties and parental frustrations.

We offer this 14-session program free of charge four to six times a year to parents and caregivers of children ages 2-8 involved with the Monroe County Department of Human Services. Through group discussions and role play, they learn constructive ways for setting effective limits, increasing their child’s learning and social skills, managing behavior positively, and actually enjoying time with their children.
