Mt. Hope Family Center

Support

Mt. Hope Family Center is supported entirely from grants and gifts to the Center. Intervention programs receive support under contracts for services from the Monroe County (NY) Department of Human Services. Additional support comes from the United Way of Greater Rochester, private foundation grants and gifts to the Center's Annual Campaign. Recent foundation support includes gifts from Halcyon Hill Foundation, The Women's Foundation, Daisy Marquis Jones Foundation, the McGowan Charitable Fund, and the Marie C. and Joseph C. Wilson Foundation.

Research programs are supported through competitive grants from the National Institutes of Health, the Office of Child Abuse and Neglect and private foundations.

Mt. Hope Family Center recently completed a major renovation of its facility, which added approximately 25,000 square feet of laboratory and treatment space, bringing the total space utilized by the Center to 60,000 square feet. The additional space will significantly enhance the Center's ability to conduct research in the areas of brain functioning.

In support of the renovation activities, the Center's Advisory Board spearheaded the Campaign for the Children of Mt. Hope with a goal of $1 million. Funds raised from the campaign helped defray the costs of renovation.
