    Frederick Douglass, Rochester resident and famed abolitionist, would have celebrated his 203 birthday this Sunday. Like most African Americans born into slavery, he never knew the real date or year of his birth, so he chose February 14. The Rush Rees library at the University of Rochester contains one of the most extensive collections of Douglass artifacts.
